I am the area engineer for the Mazar-e-Sharif Area Office in northern Afghanistan.

 

Here are a couple of pictures to show what we’re building for the Afghan National Police in northern  Afghanistan.

Above — Afghanistan National Police Headquarters & Logistics Center

Contract Amount $12.6 million, 88% complete, design and construction of facilities to support the Stand By Police Battalion in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan.  The project includes water system, sanitary sewer system, and power source for the compound with fuel storage. The project has perimeter walls from native stone with two entry control points, a dining facility that will serve 300 people at one time, and barracks facilities for 500 people.

Afghanistan National Police District Headquarters

Contract Amount: $4.3 million, 40% complete at this site.  Design and construction of one of eleven site-adapted Afghanistan National Uniformed  Police District Headquarters facilities in the Balkh and Samangan Provinces of Afghanistan.  This project consists of constructing all utilities, roads, buildings, force protection measures, site security, and de-mining activities.
