A Party for Edgar Allan Poe (He's 200, Never More)
Lecture, with light reception |
| |
Edgar Allan Poe, the author of such enduring classics as "The Purloined Letter," "The Tell-Tale Heart," and "The Fall of the House of Usher," is often referred to as America's Shakespeare. On the occasion of Poe's 200th birthday, Daniel Stashower explores the life and art of the original "man in black," followed by a dramatic reading of some the author's powerful works by actor Scott Sedar. The evening concludes with a toast and a special birthday cake.
