Leonard Jordan, Deputy Chief, Strategic Planning and Accountability Leonard Jordan is presently the Deputy Chief for Strategic Planning and Accountability. He has served in this position since July 16, 2007. Before assuming this position he served as Division Director for Easement Programs as well as Conservation Planning and Technical Assistance Division. He has held numerous positions during his 30 year NRCS career. He has served as state conservationist, assistant state conservationist, area conservationist, area resource conservationist, district conservationist, soil conservationist and conservation technician. He worked in five states prior to going to National Headquarters in January 2005. Leonard is a native of Tennessee and a graduate of Tennessee State University. He believes that the human resources are the agency’s best investment.
