Avian influenza – situation in Indonesia – update 31

The Ministry of Health of Indonesia has announced the death of a previously confirmed case of H5N1 infection. The 16-year-old female from West Java Province died on 15 January 2008.

Of the 118 cases confirmed to date in Indonesia, 96 have been fatal.
