Admitted and New Student Timeline

(What You Need to Know Before You Come to Purdue and When You Get Here)

The list below has important dates, deadlines and information that you should be aware of when preparing to attend Purdue. This list does not contain specific college/school/major information. Please check your college’s website or contact an academic advisor in your school for more specific information regarding deadlines.

November 2008-April 2009

Attend a Purdue’s for Me open house program for admitted students to learn more about Purdue and the academic program to which you are admitted. This program allows admitted students and their families to meet current students, advisors, and faculty; explore extracurricular activities; tour campus and residence halls; eat lunch in a student dining court; and ask any questions you might have.

Attend Destination Purdue, a program open to all admitted students who have last-minute questions about Purdue or who haven’t yet had an opportunity to visit campus. The program encourages students and their families to interact with professors, staff members, and current students, and to learn more about Purdue and its resources and services. The content and activities of this program may be of particular interest to admitted African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, and Native American students.

The Office of Admissions hosts daily, individual visits specifically for admitted students. These visits are held four times a day, Monday-Friday, and include a presentation and student-guided walking tour.
