Business And Industry Guaranteed Loans |
Loans made by conventional lenders and guaranteed by USDA Rural Development to help maintain or establish private business and industry enterprises that create employment opportunities. Limited to communities of 50,000 population or less. |

Community Facility Direct Loans |
Direct loans by USDA Rural Development to public bodies, not-for-profit entities or Indian tribes to finance essential public use facilities and equipment (health, fire, nutrition, libraries, etc.). Limited to communities of 20,000 population or less. |

Community Facility Guaranteed Loans |
Loans guaranteed by USDA Rural Development to public bodies, not-for-profit entities or Indian tribes to finance essential public use facilities and equipment (health, fire, nutrition, libraries, etc.). Limited to communities of 20,000 population or less. |

Community Facility Grants |
Grants made by USDA Rural Development to public bodies, not-for-profit entities, or Indian tribes to finance essential public use facilities and equipment (health, fire, nutrition, libraries, etc.). Limited to communities of 20,000 population or less. |

Fire and Rescue Loans |
Loans made by USDA Rural Development to not-for-profit entities, public bodies, or Indian tribes to finance fire and rescue services. Limited to communities of 20,000 population or less. |

Intermediary Relending Program |
Loans made by USDA Rural Development to intermediaries (public bodies, not-for-profit entities or Indian tribes) at 1% interest-30 years. Intermediaries maximum loan is $250,000 or 75% of project cost, whichever is less. Intermediaries establish revolving loan fund accounts and then relend to individuals or public or private organizations to finance business enterprises or community development. Limited to communities of 25,000 population or less. |

Rural Business Enterprise Grants |
Grants made by USDA Rural Development to public bodies, not-for-profit entities or Indian tribes to support the development of private business enterprise. Limited to communities of 50,000 population or less. |

Rural Business Opportunity Grants |
Grants made by USDA Rural Development to public bodies and not-for-profit entities including Federally recognized Indian tribes in rural areas, and cooperatives with members that are primarily rural residents and that conduct activities for the mutual benefit of the members. |

Solid Waste Management Grants |
Solid Waste Management GrantsGrants made by USDA Rural Development to public bodies, not-for-profit entities or Indian tribes to reduce/eliminate pollution of water resources or improve planning and management of solid waste sites. Limited to communities of 10,000 population or less. |

Technical Assistance and Training Grants |
Grants are made to private nonprofit organizations that have been granted tax exempt status by the IRS. Grant funds may be used to provide assistance to existing water and water disposal facilities, assist applicants in preparing applications for water and waste water grants, and identify and evaluate solutions to water and waste disposal problems. All must be located in rural areas. |

Loans/grants made by USDA Rural Development to public bodies, not-for-profit entities or Indian tribes to finance needed public water and waste facilities. Limited to communities of 10,000 population or less. |

Rural Economic Development Loans |
0% interest rate loans to Rural Electric Cooperatives and REA telephone borrowers to promote rural economic development and/or job creation projects. |

Rural Economic Development Grants |
Grants to Rural Electric Cooperatives and REA telephone borrowers for revolving loan funds for community facilities and infrastructure. |

|
Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program |
To help farmers, ranchers and rural small business purchase renewable energy systems and make energy efficiency improvements. |

|
Value-Added Producer Grants |
Grant to help producers increase their revenues through value-added activities that expand the customer base for their products or commodities. |
