Winter Storytelling Festival for Families
January 24 & 25
11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Winter storytelling is a long tradition for many Native American people and we’ll be celebrating that tradition all weekend! You can learn about traditional and contemporary storytelling from different Native communities. You’ll also have a chance to help a painter tell a story with art or tell your own using string figures. Come join the fun!

Find out about upcoming teacher workshops for the 2008–2009 school year. Each workshop includes take-home materials and classroom resources, as well as new ideas for interdisciplinary curriculum connections. The workshops are beneficial for teachers of all subject areas, so sign up with a colleague and we’ll see you at the museum!

Native Words, Native Warriors is an interactive educational program about how American Indian code talkers used their Native languages to serve their country and continue the warrior tradition during World Wars I and II.
