Soil Survey Division

Responsibilities

The Director, Soil Survey Division, is responsible for: overall policy formulation; budget development and implementation; program development and implementation; collaboration with others at the national and international level to carry out National Cooperative Soil Survey (NCSS) activities; oversight of national soil survey activities; coordination of staff functions; coordination of soil survey reports and publications throughout the nation; coordination of soil survey information used in NRCS policy and programs; and development of user feedback mechanisms. The Director also is responsible for coordinating international soil survey activities.
