Griffin Campus Graduation
Six CAES students participated in the Griffin Campus Graduation Reception
Dec. 18 marking their transition into UGA alumni. The graduates are shown
being congratulated by CAES Dean and Director Scott Angle (far left) and
CAES Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Joe Broder (far right). Pictured
left to right are Angle, Patrick Standley, Lorna Nissen, Jennifer Selman,
Michelle Gerlosky, Dow Redding and Broder. Not pictured but also a CAES
winter 2008 graduate is Ashley Christopherson.
The Griffin Campus, one
of the premier agricultural research centers in the region, addresses today's
needs for research, extension and outreach, and teaching. The programs on
the Griffin Campus focus on several areas including,

- Food safety and quality enhancement
- Biotechnology and genetics
- Crop and pest management
- Environment and natural resources
- Urban agriculture
