Graduate Education

WVU offers dozens of master’s and doctoral programs, and professional degrees in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and law. Graduate students can further customize their courses of study by earning one of more than a dozen graduate certificates in fields such as forensic accounting and software engineering.

In addition to our traditional graduate courses taught on campus, graduate students from around the country—or around the world—can choose from a number of courses, certificate programs, and graduate degrees offered online, off-campus, or via distance technology.

To apply for graduate study at WVU, you may complete our online application or download a paper application.

Please note that applying to one of our professional schools requires a separate process; review our pages for health sciences programs (dentistry, medicine, nursing, and pharmacy) and law for information about applying to those programs.
