   Kudos to Holly Anderson of the Hollymount 4-H club for receiving the prestigious Benjamin Carson Scholarship at a ceremony held at the University of Delaware in Newark on May 6th. 

   The scholarship is awarded annually by Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin Carson.   Dr. Carson is a world renowned medical doctor at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.  Holly was one of 30 Carson Scholars chosen in Delaware this year.  Criteria for the scholarship includes a minimum grade point average of 3.75 and a strong level of community service. 

   Congratulations to Holly and thanks for all the hard work you do in 4-H!   We are so proud of you!

4-H Prepared Miss Georgetown for Life

Kayla Martell competed in the Miss Delaware pageant Saturday, and although she didn’t win the crown, the experience in itself was rewarding, she says. Martell competed as Miss Georgetown and was one of the 10 finalists out of an original field of 19 participants.
