Statistical testing utility

We are pleased to announce a release of the revised version of the bilingual (English and Spanish) statistical testing utility.  It is available on-line (http://205.207.175.93/utils) or as a tool in the downloadable tables. To use it as a tool please install (or reinstall) the utility and the Beyond 20/20 Browser following steps 1-3 at the website: http://205.207.175.93/aging/download.htm and view or download tables from this site. The enhanced utility allows the user to perform significance tests of:

  • the difference between two values

  • multiple comparisons (Bonferroni test)

  • the slope of a linear trend line

  • the difference in the slopes of two linear trend lines

Please send your comments, questions, and suggestions about the statistical utility to nha@cdc.gov.
