Malaria: Funding

In recent years, USAID’s malaria funding has dramatically increased. In fiscal year 2006, total USAID funding for malaria was $100 million, up from $12 million in 1998.

Funding for the President’s Malaria Initiative in fiscal year 2006 is $30 million, and it is expected to increase to $135 million in fiscal year 2007, $300 million in each of fiscal years 2008 and 2009, and $500 million in fiscal year 2010.
