Musculoskeletal System
Research
Basic aspects of the musculoskeletal system research involve the study of organ systems, cellular, and molecular approaches to enhance muscle growth and reduce fat deposition, thereby improving the quality and efficiency of meat produced by agricultural animals. CSREES funds aspects of development of the musculoskeletal system of food animals and supports the efforts of the land-grant partnership in developing applications from this research.
