Michael J Bishop MD is the Director for the Central Office National Anesthesia Service. From 1992 through 2005 he was also the Chief of Anesthesia and OR Services at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle and Tacoma. Dr Bishop has been on the faculty at the University of Washington since 1979 and is currently Professor of Anesthesiology and Medicine (Pulmonary and Critical Care)(Adjunct). Prior to joining the VA, Dr Bishop's primary clinical site was at Harborview Medical Center where he was active in the OR, ICU, and pulmonary research.

Roberta L. Reedy CRNA, DNSc is the Deputy Director for the Central Office National Anesthesia Service. Dr. Reedy has been the Lead CRNA at the VA Western NY Health Care System in Buffalo since 2004 and adjunct faculty at the University of Buffalo, State University of New York since 1995. Dr. Reedy received her doctorate in 2006 with a research focus on the role of volatile anesthetics in the inflammatory response to myocardial ischemia-reperfusion. Prior to joining the VA, Dr. Reedy worked as a CRNA at the Erie County Medical Center in a Level I trauma setting and at Intercommunity Memorial Hospital in a small rural setting.

Helen Rosberg is the Administrative Assistant to Dr. Michael Bishop. Prior to this assignment she served, since 1998, as the Administrative Assistant to Loretta Wasse, former Deputy Director of the Central Office Nationa Anesthesia Service. Before coming to the VA, she was the Administrative Assistant to the Medical Director of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.

Doug Rotter is the Program Specialist for the Central Office National Anesthesia Service. Prior to assuming this position, Doug was the Administrative Officer for Anesthesia and OR Services at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Doug came to the VA in 1995 after almost 9 years as the Operating Room Business Manager at Harborview Medical Center, the Seattle area's trauma center. Before his career in healthcare Doug was a Program Coordinator for local county government.
