The standard should be superseded, evertually, by the North
American Profile (NAP) of ISO 19115:2003, Geographic information. Upon
adoption and sufficient time for vendors to create robust tools to
create NAP metadata and for CSDGM Metadata to be converted to the NAP,
then the CSDGM should be superceded by the NAP.
