From time to time, CPC produces compendiums of multi-year regional data sets for various climate factors such as precipitation.

• North American Monsoon Model Assessment Project (NAMAP) Short Description - A set of comparable control runs for a single season (1990) generated by six independent modeling groups has been documented in order to assess the ability of state-of-the-art regional and global models to simulate the seasonal evolution and diurnal cycle of atmospheric circulation, hydrometeorology, and land surface flux fields across the domain of the North American monsoon system.

• U.S Precipitation (1963-1993) - A multi-year gridded hourly precipitation data set over the United States.

• Pacific Islands Precipitation (1955-96) - A precipitation climatology for 66 tropical Pacific basin stations over the period of 1955-96. The main purpose of the climatology is to establish a background for defining thresholds of rainfall deficiency amount and duration associated with drought episodes on an individual island-to-island basis.

• Global Atmospheric Analyses (1985 - 1993) - Intercomparison of the NCEP/NCAR and the NASA/DAO Reanalyses.

• Tropospheric Variables over the Western Hemisphere (1979 - 1995) - Documentation of the mean annual cycle for selected tropospheric variables over the Western Hemisphere.

• Improved United States Precipitation Quality Control System and Analysis - U.S. Unified Raingauge Dataset - A Unified Raingauge dataset (URD) for the U.S. has been constructed and used to complete a multi-year (1948-1997+) gridded daily reanalysis of precipitation.

• Relationships Between El Niño-Southern Oscillation and the Arctic Oscillation: A Climate-Weather Link - The linkage between the phase of ENSO and the phase of AO and its influence on several fields of interest to forcasters are examined.

• The Annual Cycle and Variability of Precipitation in Brazil - A daily precipitation analysis for Brazil for the period 1961-present has been developed and used to examine the annual cycle and variability of daily precipitation over the country.
