The EPA regularly awards grants to Federal, State, or local government agencies, universities, businesses and other institutions that support EPA's environmental programs. These grants provide for research, demonstration projects, training, fellowships, investigations, surveys, studies, and other types of program support activities. Grants are offered in various amounts and for a wide range of activities, from watershed protection and pollution prevention to studies of global warming and lead exposure. Grants are made through the Office of Grants and Debarment and other offices. Detailed information about grants is available through the Envirofacts Grants Information and Control System.
