NASS to Issue Results of Farm and Ranch Safety Survey

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will publish results from the 2006 Farm and Ranch Safety Survey on January 17 at 3 p.m. EST.

This special report is a joint effort between NASS and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, an agency within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The publication will include a wealth of information ranging from data on tractors and machinery used on farm operations to the use of hearing protection and other protective equipment used by agricultural operators while working on their farms and ranches in 2006.
