Q: Greetings, I am in the process of making newspaper pots for my garden seedlings (http://www.raft.net/ideas/Newspaper%20Planting%20Pots.pdf). I have read to avoid putting colored newspaper in compost piles because it may contain toxins. While sorting through my Sunday Bee for pot making material, I found that most pages contain at least some colored ink. Is the ink used to print The Bee all soy based or made from some other nontoxic material that would be safe for use in the garden? Thanks much.
