Podcast Series Overview
The podcast series was created to increase the impact of CDC’s health marketing sciences and expand the strategic and innovative application of health marketing.
The series is moderated by Dr. John Anderton, Associate Director of Communication Science in the National Center for Public Health Informatics at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA and will feature a variety of health marketing professionals within and outside of the agency.
The objectives of the series are to:
- Raise awareness, increase knowledge and advance the fields of health communication and health marketing;
- Increase the impact of CDC’s health marketing sciences;
- Expand the strategic and innovative application of health marketing; and
- Provide an environment to disseminate findings and best practices based on health communication and marketing research at CDC.
Podcast recordings will focus on some of the following topics:
- Audience segmentation--and audience research that guided the development of the campaign
- Marketing and Strategy Development for campaigns
- Innovative dissemination strategies
- New media strategy execution
- Mobilizing partners (national and local)
- Monitoring campaign reach and effects
- Evaluation activities
