Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change
Established in 1968 by Mrs. Coretta Scott King, the King Center is the official living memorial to Dr. King's work, and philosophy. Located in Atlanta, Ga., the Center features an exhibit of Dr. King's personal memorabilia as well as a library and archives. Through its "Beloved Community" network, the Center engages in such activities as nonviolence training, educational programs on Dr. King's life and teachings, and direct services to people in need. The United States is once again at a crossroads and that is why the President-elect hopes to use the occasion of his Inauguration to rally our nation to commit to service in our communities. We are asking for your participation in meeting this challenge. In 1994, Congress transformed the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday into a national day of community service to further commemorate a man who lived his life in service to others. As a tribute to that legacy and the very real needs of our nation, the President-elect and Vice President-elect have launched a national organizing effort on the eve of their Inauguration to engage Americans in service.

After-School All-Stars
 Founded by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1992, After-School All-Stars is one of the largest national organizations that provides comprehensive programming to middle school children in thirteen cities across the country. Through donated funds ASAS offers engaging activities to over 72,000 kids annually. ASAS strives to offer a place to keep children safe and help them achieve in school and in life by providing after-school opportunities to keep them safe during the high-risk hours of 3 to 6pm. After-School All-Stars aims to give kids a chance to reach their full potential academically, socially and in school.
American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU)
 The American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) represents more than 430 public colleges, universities, and systems of higher education throughout the United States and its territories. AASCU schools enroll more than three million students or 55 percent of the enrollment at all public four-year institutions.
American Red Cross
 The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
 The ASPCA was founded in 1866 as the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. The Society was formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then, and they continue to battle cruelty today.
America's Promise
 America's Promise was founded after the Presidents' Summit for America's Future in Philadelphia in 1997. At the summit, Presidents Clinton, Bush, Carter and Ford, with former First Lady Nancy Reagan representing her husband, challenged the nation to make youth a national priority. Their mission is to mobilize people from every sector of American life to build the character and competence of our nation's youth by fulfilling five Promises for young people.
Arizona Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism
 The Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism works to build an ethic of service and volunteerism by working in local and statewide partnerships with public and private sectors, tribal governments, community and faith-based organizations to initiate, motivate, enhance, and maintain service and volunteerism opportunities that strengthen communities and improve the quality of life for all Arizonans.

 Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization in the United States, providing one-to-one youth service for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors children, ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country - including yours.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America
 For more than 100 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of America has been changing and saving young lives, providing hope and opportunity for kids who need them most. Today, some 4,300 Clubs serve some 4.8 million young people through Club membership and community outreach. Known as The Positive Place for Kids, Boys & Girls Clubs can be found all across the country and on U.S. military bases throughout the world. Clubs provide young people 6-18 years old with guidance-oriented character development programs conducted by trained, professional staff. In communities large and small, Clubs positively impact lives and help young people reach their full potential as productive, caring citizens. In a recent Harris Survey of Club alumni, 57 percent said the Club saved their life.
