Hunting on National Forest Lands

The Rules and Regulations for hunting on the National Forests are governed by the laws of the State that the National Forest resides in. The Arizona Game and Fish Department would be able to inform you of those rules and regulations, and the areas that are currently open for that purpose.

ATV use on National Forest Lands
There are two designated areas on the Coronado Natinal forest for Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) use. Please refer to our <>OHV page for information on where you can use your OHV, and some considerations to keep in mind to help protect the land you enjoy so much.

Fire Restrictions
Fire restrictions are put in place only during very hot and dry conditions that warrent extreme caution in regards to fire use. Fire restrictions occur mostly durning the summer months, but can happen in the spring and fall months as well. Fire restrictions can vary in severity depending on current and expected conditions, from limiting the use of campfires only, to complete forest closures in extreme cases. Information on what level of restrictions are in place will be posted on the Fire Management web page and notices will be posted in all affected camping and picnicking areas. Please read them carefully and enjoy your time outdoors.
