Overview
Freight Planning activities at the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) encompass all modes of freight distribution: highway, rail, water and air.
The Department manages and oversees numerous planning studies and research projects, especially the Statewide Freight Plan, collaborates with transportation agencies and works on other public and private initiatives.
Freight Planning supports other major freight initiatives under way at NJDOT such as the
Portway Program and the activities of Maritime Resources.
