Fuel Cell Vehicle Availability

No fuel cell vehicles are commercially available to consumers today. They generally are only available in limited numbers to select organizations with access to hydrogen refueling stations. The U.S. Department of Energy/U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Fuel Economy Guide lists some of the vehicles available for these projects.

Fuel cell vehicles will be listed in the AFDC Vehicle Make and Model Search when they become commercially available. To learn about the organizations related to fuel cell vehicle manufacturing, sale, and promotion, see the AFDC Hydrogen/Fuel Cell Related Links page.

Most of the few currently operating hydrogen fueling stations are in California. Visit Hydrogen Fueling Station Locations to see if there are stations near you.
