Attention Judges:  November 14-16, 2008 The Multi-State Judges and Show Managers School will be held in Columbus, OH.

Registration Form and Tentative Schedule. (Please note this is a typeable pdf form)

Judges Renewal Form(Please note this is a typeable pdf form)

We have held the 2007 Judges' Clinic and we have enclosed your new Judges' List for 2008. The 2007 clinic was again a multi-state clinic with Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Kentucky joining together. The multi-state clinic is allowing more judges from nearby states to get involved in Ohio 4-H, which increases the number of judges to select from for your shows.

We highly recommend that you use the judges on the list if at all possible. These judges have shown the interest and are working hard to be the best judges possible for our 4-H Horse Program. When conducting PAS shows for state fair qualification, we highly recommend that you to use one of the judges from the list that are identified as being able and willing to judge these shows. Using judges not familiar with PAS or with insufficient experience may not be fair to your youth.

As done in the past, a separate dressage judge's list is attached to the State Judges list, because dressage youth must qualify to come to state fair under approved dressage judges or learner judges. The judges on this list are qualified to evaluate our youth in dressage classes and have the results count toward qualifying for the State Fair Junior Dressage Show. You may still have dressage classes in your county shows using judges off the regular list, but the scores received by the exhibitors will not count toward qualifying for state fair.

Please, evaluate all judges if they give you an evaluation form or not, and send the evaluation to Amber D. Moffett as soon as possible after the show (30 days maximum). If the judge desires, they may give you two copies, one to send to Amber Moffett and one to send to them. It is recommended that the judges provide the show committees stamped envelopes already addressed to help insure that the evaluations will be sent. All of our listed judges have copies of the form to use and will usually provide them to the show committee. It is acceptable to fill the evaluation out the day of the show and to give it to the judge to return to Amber Moffett; or if you want to be sure that it is received by Amber Moffett, you may wish to send it yourself.
