Passes to the U.S. Capitol and Senate Gallery

Passes are required for all tours of the Capitol. Free, same-day timed-entry passes are distributed for guided tours beginning at 9:00am.  Passes are distributed on per person on a first-come, first-served basis at the Guide Service kiosk located at the southwest corner of the Capitol grounds (across from the Botanic Gardens).

During the busy months of Spring and Summer, the line for passes forms quite early in the morning, so please plan accordingly. Separate passes are required to visit the Senate gallery, and these passes can be obtained from your Senator’s office.
