Update My Contact/Info Profile

Updating your Contact Information
 
It is your responsibility as a TSP to maintain current personal contact information.

To change contact information in your TechReg profile and the TechReg registry such as address, phone number or e-mail you need to contact your local USDA Service Center. The Local Registration Authority (LRA) can update your SCIMS account. A phone call should be sufficient in most cases. If you change your name, it might be necessary to bring in a photo ID or proof of name change to update the SCIMS account.

Once the change in the SCIMS database has been made, it will take one day for the change to be reflected on the TechReg website. You can upload your new contact quicker into your TSP profile by using the Update Contact Info button on the Section A header of Part 1 in your Profile. This updates contact information displayed to the public and ensures you receive automated email announcements such as renewal notices and news from the TechReg system.

You must have a valid, current e-mail address in the SCIMS database maintained by USDA.

You must also maintain current personal contact information for your eAuthentication account.

Remember: USDA eAuthentication accounts are disabled after 6 months of inactivity. If you have not used your account for 6 months or more and cannot login or cannot remember your password, contact eAuthHelpDesk@ftc.usda.gov for assistance.

You can update your contact information, such as e-mail, phone, or mailing address, in the eAuthentication system by going to: http://www.eauth.egov.usda.gov/. Click on the update your account link, click on My Account then choose Update My Profile. Make the changes and click Submit.

 
Updating your TechReg Profile
 
Use the 'Individual TSP Profile' link under the Profile section in the left navigation area to open your profile. Use the “update…” and “add…” buttons to add records. Use the “edit” button to edit previously entered records. You can also view and print detailed instructions for completing sections of your Profile.

Section A, Contact Information, will be populated with your background information from the SCIMS database. Refer to 'Updating your Contact Information' above to update information in this section.

Section B, Associated Companies/Agencies, should only be updated if the profile is for a business or public agency and only if you are the official representative of that business or public agency.

Section C, Relevant Accreditations/Licenses: follow the instructions in Step 3 of the detailed instructions to Add, Edit, or Delete licenses or certifications.

Section D, Education and Training: follow the instructions in Step 4 of the detailed instructions to Add, Edit, or Delete education or training.

Section E, Relevant Work Experience: follow the instructions in Step 5 of the detailed instructions to Add, Edit, or Delete work experience.

Section E1, Professional References: Use the 'Add Reference' button to add new references and the 'Edit' button to Update or Delete a reference in this section.

Section F, Familiarity with NRCS Guidelines, Criteria, Standards, and Specifications: Use the 'Add NRCS Familiarity' button to add new references and the 'Edit' button to Update or Delete a familiarity in this section.

Section F1, NRCS Conservation Planning Training Requirement: Use the 'Add NRCS Training' button to add new references and the 'Edit' button to Update or Delete training in this section.

Section F2, NRCS TSP Orientation: Use the 'Add NRCS Orientation' button to add new references and the 'Edit' button to Update or Delete a orientation in this section.
