Counsel to the Inspector General
Lisa Goldfluss
Lisa Goldfluss was appointed Legal Counsel to the U.S. Agency for International
Development, Office of Inspector General (USAID/OIG), effective December 10, 2006.
She is a member of the Senior Executive Service with almost 20 years of federal
service, and oversees all OIG Office of Legal Counsel operations.
Prior to this appointment, Goldfluss served as an Assistant United States
Attorney in the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia,
practicing before the United States District Court and the United States Court
of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. She began her federal career
as a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Division,
trying cases throughout the United States. Prior to her federal appointment,
Goldfluss litigated with the law firm of Brown & Bain in Phoenix, Arizona,
concentrating on intellectual property and product liability cases.
Goldfluss received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and
her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Before law school,
she worked on Capitol Hill for the New York State Governor and served in
varying capacities for New York City and State officials in Manhattan.
Her bar memberships include the District of Columbia, the State of
Arizona, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the
District of Columbia and the Fourth Circuits, and the U.S. District
Court for the District of Columbia.
