The Consumer Horticulture Community of Practice is composed of many people throughout the United States working in Cooperative Extension to develop this website which highlights the best information on gardening and horticulture. Many state Consumer Horticulture programs make use of Extension Master Gardeners (EMG) as trained volunteers to assist in delivering horticulture information to the public. EMG are an important component of the Consumer Horticulture Community of Practice as well. If you submit a question to the Ask an Expert program after searching our FAQ database, the question will likely be answered by an EMG. By identifying your geographical area when you Ask an Expert, your question will be routed to an EMG in your state or county for an answer.
