Bureau of Public Affairs: Electronic Information and Publications Office

The Office of Electronic Information and Publications manages, designs, develops, and prepares information content for the State Department's main website at state.gov for all the policy bureaus within the Department, from the Bureau of African Affairs to the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs. The office works closely with a number of other offices and bureaus, such as Bureaus of Human Resources and Administration, to post non-policy information to the web. In addition, the Electronic Information Office has the lead role in coordinating with Department bureaus/offices on the information content and means of releasing electronic information for public dissemination. Along with the Office of Global Publishing Solutions in the Bureau of Administration, it also approves hard copy State Department publications for public distribution. The office develops information informing the public about the State Department and coordinates the release of background and other information on countries and foreign policy for the American public.
