Fifth District War Heroes Project
|
Congressman King interviews Howard Gephardt, WWII veteran, for the Fifth District War Heroes Project |
I have launched an effort in Western Iowa to make sure veterans of all wars in the Fifth District have their place in America’s history. I am hoping many Iowa veterans submit their personal stories to be archived by historians at the Library of Congress.
We must never forget those who have fought for and defended our freedom. Approximately 1,500 veterans are passing away every day, and we can’t lose the opportunity to record those experiences to preserve in history for future generations.
Submit your contact information on our form, and we will call you about further submitting your narratives, correspondence and visual materials for the Fifth District War Heroes Project.
