Anouk Zijlma is an experienced travel agent, travel editor, and international traveler. She's lived in Malawi and Kenya, and has travelled extensively throughout the continent.

Experience:

Anouk worked as a top selling travel agent and training specialist for Council Travel, the largest student/budget travel agency in the US at the time. She then joined the About.com team as Travel editor until leaving to raise her two sons and share her travel experience on the About.com Africa Travel site.

Education:

Anouk has a BA in Anthropology from the University of Durham, UK and an MSc in (Third World) Development Studies from the University of Bath, UK.
