One of the most entertaining awards shows, the Golden Globes is full of spontaneity and high style. Of course, the best reason to tune in to any awards show is to scope out all of the celebrity shoes. For a closer look, check out this photo gallery.

Wide Dress Shoes with Low Heels in Larger Sizes

Tuesday January 13, 2009

dress_shoes_in_wide_widths.jpgIt's not a very catchy title, but the fact is, the women I hear from most often are those who are having difficulty finding: A) wider shoes, B) larger shoes, and/or C) dress shoes with lower heels.

Offered in regular and wide widths, U.S. sizes 5-13, and with heels of only 2.25 inches, these shoes solve most of those dilemmas, and they ring up at less than $80 per pair.

Shown in gold, these rhinestone-embellished sandals are also available in silver and black.

Slouch Boots from Naughty Monkey

Monday January 12, 2009

slouch_boots_naughty_monkey.jpgI've purchased so many pairs of boots over the last few months that I refuse to even entertain the notion of buying another pair. But if I were going to get another pair of boots, it would pretty hard to resist these cute slouch wedges from Naughty Monkey.

I'm especially taken with the wine version, because they're a perfect match for my faux mongolian coat -- which doesn't look nearly as street-walkerish as it sounds. But these microfiber boots also look great in olive, or the more versatile shades of black and brown.

Stylish Shoes on the Cheap

Friday January 9, 2009

cheap_shoes.jpgThe phrase "cheap shoes" can mean affordable shoes, it can mean poorly constructed shoes, and often, the term is used for shoes that are both inexpensive and of inferior quality.

Unless you were born with silver pumps on your feet, there have probably been times in you're life when you've worn cheap shoes of all those varieties.

I know I have.

The funny thing is, some of the least expensive shoes I own are among my favorites for comfort and style.

While it doesn't always work that way, the fact of the matter is, we've all had times where we needed or wanted cheap shoes.

The good news is that just because you don't have a lot to spend, doesn't mean you have to wear ugly shoes. Here are a few of my favorite places to buy Cheap Shoes that Look Great.

Women's Small Shoes

Thursday January 8, 2009

Since we're larger than we used to be, there seems to be an ever-growing need for shoes in larger sizes -- and I'm all for larger and wider stock shoes.

The one thing I worry about though is the people who wear smaller sizes. They already have enough trouble finding shoes to fit, and if the industry sizes everything up, it stands to reason that the small-footed of the world will have even more difficulty finding footwear.

Fortunately, this is the web era, and all things that were once impossible to find are now often a mouse click away -- even women's shoes in small sizes.

Here is a list of online retailers who specialize in small shoes for women.
