Football's Holy Week - BYU vs. Utah

Tuesday November 18, 2008
College Football

This week is rivalry week. And this year's holy war between the University of Utah and BYU will be one of the biggest Utah has seen.

The University of Utah is ranked number 7 and has an 11-0 record. They've already clinched at least a share of the Mountain West Conference Title making this the second time in four years for Utah with a chance to go to a BCS Bowl game if they can beat BYU.

BYU is ranked number 14 with a 10-1 record and a shot at a share of the MWC Title if they can beat Utah.

Both the Utes and Cougars need to be at the top of their games Saturday if they want to have a chance to win. It always seems to be a close game on rivalry week no matter how good each team is, and seeing how close many of the Utes and Cougars games have been in the past, it should be a exciting battle at Rice Eccles Stadium.

If the Utes win and go to the BCS, millions of dollars would be shared between the teams in the Mountain West. Discuss the BCS rankings.

So far, nearly seven LDS wardhouses have been vandalized and protesters have joined rallys nationwide by rallying at Temple Square and at Washington Square.

I'm interested in hearing from my readers about their take on the issue. Go to my poll and comment below.
