This course is an overview of entrepreneurship as an economic development strategy and of community support systems for entrepreneurs. The course is presented in three integrated modules designed to build capacity to support entrepreneurs developing Diversified and Value-Added (DVA) Agribusinesses within communities. As you delve into the chapters you will find that content is kept fairly basic as most people need to start at that level. If you have a strong background in community resource and economic development with an emphasis in agribusiness venture development, you will be able to breeze through material fairly quickly. Those that are seeing many of the concepts for the first time will want to take their time to study suggested readings, tools, and additional resources in more depth.
In order to participate in this online learning opportunity you will need to take a minute to create a new account for yourself on the eXtension course website. Each of the individual courses may also have a one-time "enrollment key", which you will receive from the course instructor.
