Celtics, Cavs Highlight Slow Day

Friday January 9, 2009
Today is somewhat of the lull before the storm, as the college football season ended last night and the NFL playoffs take place over the weekend. There are just 25 games on the schedule tonight, consisting of the NBA, NHL, and college basketball.

The Boston Celtics at Cleveland will get most of the attention tonight, as LeBron and the gang will be out for revenge, while the Celtics look to right their ship, as they have dropped three in a row and are just 4-6 over their last 10 games.

The Cavs are favored by four points and the total is 184, making it a difficult game to handicap, as even though the Celtics aren't on the top of their game, you hate to give points to a team like Boston, as the Celtics could turn it around at any time.

Instead, we'll look to a game hardly receiving any attention, Fairfield at Loyola, Maryland.[br][p] Today's play on the main site is in the college basketball Free Sports Betting Picks located in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.

BCS Championship Preview

Thursday January 8, 2009
The college football season comes to an end tonight, as the Oklahoma Sooners and the Florida Gators battle it out for the BCS Championship. Naturally, the game has drawn plenty of interest from sports bettors, with Florida being the popular choice.

Florida opened a 3-point favorite when the point spreads for the bowl games first came out, but late money on the Gators has driven the line up to 5.5 or 6 points. The total is hovering around 70, as bettors expect to see plenty of points between two high-powered offenses.
