From Emily Starbuck Gerson:

I grew up in Houston, and in 2003 I made the 160-mile journey to Austin to attend college. I instantly fell in love with the city and couldn’t bear to leave after graduating. Austin is eclectic, musical, beautiful, laid-back, and full of Texas flavor and history. After all, the city’s slogan is “Keep Austin Weird.” What’s not to love? Austin is growing by the day and there’s never a lack of things to do. In fact, sometimes there’s so much going on, it’s overwhelming. Whether you’re new to Austin, are thinking of relocating to Austin, or are a local just wanting to keep up with what’s new, I’m here to share my love for Austin and help you make the most of this beautiful and quirky place. If you have any tips or suggestions, feel free to send them my way!
