The Museum of Flight, Seattle, WA
$16,380 for the Douglas Aircraft Company Collection Project, to preserve company drawings. After the 717 drawings in the collection have been processed, they will be microfilmed and a CD-ROM compilation of the drawings will be created. A database and index will also be created. (2004-074)

$61,580 for a two-year project to survey the images comprising the Seattle Post-Intelligencer collection (ca. 293,000 negatives; 1924-1972). (97-060)

Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society, Seattle, WA
$34,000 to preserve the Joe Williamson photograph collection. The photographs depict the maritime history of the Pacific Northwest from the 1880s to the 1950s, including a wide variety of ships, many coastal towns and industries, and the Alaska gold rush. (87-108)

Lummi Indian Business Council, Bellingham, WA
$2,500 for consultation on developing a professional archival program for the Lummi Indian Tribe, the third largest tribal group in Washington State. (87-080)

King County, Seattle, WA
$4,975 for a consultant to assist the county in planning for an archival program for its permanently valuable records. King County, Washington's most populous county, includes Seattle and part of the Puget Sound area. (86-136)

Colville Confederated Tribes, Nespelem, WA
$70,951 to establish an archival and records management program for the tribes. The Colville Indian Reservation, in the eastern part of the State of Washington, was founded in 1872. (86-129)
