NGC Youth Poetry Contest 2007:
Nature & Me
National Capital Area Garden Clubs, Inc. is
pleased to present entries in the NGC Youth Poetry Contest.
I planted seeds
But there are still weeds.
So I got them all out
And I didn’t even pout.
Gavin, 1st Grade
There are different kinds of trees
Around the world.
Some leaves on the trees are
Dried and curled.
Plants are very beautiful
In the hot summer.
But there were weeds,
And that was a bummer.
The sky is very blue
With the birds flying high
And it makes me want
To be able to fly.
Hunter, 2nd Grade
Natural ice
Adventure in hail
Tractors plowing snow
Unexpected things in fog
Raining and sleeting
Earthquakes shaking your bones
And blurry windy hurricanes
Nasty windy tornadoes
Drowning in a flood
Making tsunamis
Ending of Natures storms
Kaitlyn, 3rd Grade
Nature
And
Trees
Under Red hot sun
Early morning
And
Nothing
Does
Migrate
Early
