The Service’s international programs address new and pressing threats to wildlife in a timely manner by strategically targeting issues that arise and impact numerous wildlife species across large regions or globally. Once identified, these emerging issues become a Service international program priority and area of emphasis across all relevant international programs, complementing and enhancing the Service’s ongoing wildlife conservation efforts, and bringing a cohesive approach to combating these new threats.
