The HIV/AIDS Programs: Find HIV/AIDS Care

 
Are you infected with HIV/AIDS, need help finding care, or paying for the care you need?  Do you need HIV medications, dental care or other help?

 

The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program can help. It's for people with HIV/AIDS who need care but can’t afford it. For help getting care—from Ryan White or other places:

  • Ryan White Community. exit to grantee siteFollow the links to find your State health department's HIV/AIDS Web page and learn about HIV/AIDS care services in your area. Also listed on this map are Web sites for other Ryan White programs in your state.
  • State HIV/AIDS hotlines Call and ask about care through Ryan White or other programs. They will put you in touch with the agency that can determine if you are eligible and help you get care.
  • Call 1-800-CDC-INFO (1-800-232-4636) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
  • AIDSinfo offers information on HIV/AIDS treatment, prevention and research. You can also call them. In the U.S. and Canada: 800-448-0440 (TTY: 1-888-480-3739). The International number is: 1-301-519-0459. (National Institutes of Health).

What You Need to Know
- Ryan White care includes medical care by doctors and clinics that know how to treat HIV/AIDS.
- HIV/AIDS medications, dental care and services like transportation are also available.
- A Ryan White case manager or benefits counselor knows what services are available and can help you get care.
- Ryan White may be able to fill gaps in care not covered by your insurance or other programs like Medicaid and Medicare. What you pay depends on whether you have your own health insurance and how much income and resources you have.
