Welcome to GBIF GB15
The Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) as the Secretariat of the Tanzania Biodiversity Information Facility (TanBIF) wish you a warm welcome
to Tanzania, land of Kilimanjaro, Serengeti and Zanzibar
Tanzania is pleased to host the 15th meeting of the Governing Board (GB15) of the Global
Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). This meeting is open only to official delegates of the GBIF Governing Board,
and persons specifically invited by GBIF to observe the meeting.
The meeting will take place in Arusha from 1-7 November 2008. The meeting venue is the Arusha International
Conference Centre. You will find an overview of the meeting activities under Programme overview (PDF).
GB15 will take place almost back-to-back with the National Science and Technology Conference so as to bring
together both national and international scientists to exchange views on biodiversity. Foreign scientists are invited to attend and present papers at the national
conference running from 5-7 November 2008.
