Will L. Ball Collection: American Poultry Historical Society Papers
Introduction

The entire collection consists of materials related to poultry business, such as breeding, medications, and equipment. Nearly all items are the correspondence between some of the major breeders of fancy poultry and game cocks from the eastern United States and Canada and their suppliers. A portion of the correspondence is on stationery with letterheads depicting the type of poultry of game cocks handled by the writers. The bulk of the collection comprises a selection of handwritten correspondence, dated between 1881 and 1883, addressed to Will L. Ball, resident of Richmond, Quebec, Canada.
