The Dietary Reference Intake Research Synthesis Database (DRID) is a web-based, electronic database that contains the research recommendations from the eight Dietary Reference Intake (DRI) reports published between 1997-2005. Designed to improve the usability and searching capabilities of the original Excel and Access database formats available from the Institute of Medicine, this newly released DRID allows for a user-friendly search interface, as well as comprehensive search results with the option to save, e-mail, or print these results.

The DRID allows researchers and other nutrition and health professionals to search these recommendations and knowledge gaps to inform and direct future research needs related to the DRIs.
