Submit Ballast Water Report Online

There are two ways to submit your Ballast Water Report online:

1. PDF-format Ballast Water Reporting Form - Online Option

Latest Version Released on 3 Feb 2006

How to Download:

  1. Click on the link above. The Form will open in your browser window.
  2. Select "Save a Copy" from the toolbar directly above the image of the Form.
  3. Choose a location on your PC where you want to store the PDF-format Ballast Water Reporting Form.

How to Use:

This is the latest Ballast Water Reporting technology developed by NBIC. It is designed to transmit data accurately and reliably, while minimizing costly data transmission time. This Form functions like a Ballast Water Reporting computer program that resides on your PC. You can open it, add information, save that information, and print paper copies of the Form, all without connecting to the internet.

When the Ballast Water Report is complete, please submit using one of the following methods:

Option 1: If your vessel is connected to the internet, you may use the "Submit form on-line" button on the bottom of the form. The Form will connect to NBIC and upload the data you entered. A printable receipt will open in your web browser, providing proof of successful transmission for your records.

Option 2: Submit using the "Send form by email" button. This button may not work with all shipboard email systems.

Option 3: Use the "Save as text file" button to extract the data from your report to a .xfdf file on your computer. This file can then be submitted as an attachment to nbic@ballastreport.org.
