Center Sights - Living History Encampment

Visitors can learn, and have fun at the same time, by joining the living history characters at the Center's wagon encampment and lode mine site. On most weekends throughout the summer season, Center staff and volunteers portray pioneers and demonstrate ways of life, crafts, cooking, gold panning, and other activities that allow visitors a glimpse back in time.

Three to four circulating exhibits are offered each year in the Center's 1,500 square foot Flagstaff Gallery. Produced by Center staff or arranged through rental or loan from other institutions, these quality exhibits focus more closely on various aspects of the Center's themes.
