Crop Production - General
The sweeping intensification of agriculture – using an industrial model that grows annual crops in monoculture, using heavy inputs of fossil fuel, synthetic fertilizers and pesticides – has had dramatic impacts on the diversity, composition and functioning of natural ecosystems throughout the world.
