Environment & Agriculture >> Climate: Implications for Agriculture
Climate change has already begun to affect food production. Estimates of the type of effects and magnitude vary by location, food crop, and other factors, and depend on the level of climate change. Models suggest an initial reduction in agricultural productivity in some locations with an increase in productivity elsewhere. However, beyond a certain level of increase (perhaps 3o C), effects may become negative in most places.
