Stardard Gauge in the United States is defined as 4ft. 8.5in. spacing between the rails of railroad tracks. But in the early days of railroading there were many "narrow gauge" railroads throughout North America, and the rest of the world. In North America two popular gauges were 3ft. gauge and 30in. (2ft. 6in. gauge). Today, although narrow gauge models are only mass marketed in O scale, there are dedicated modelers who specialize in narrow gauge modeling in HO and N scales. For more information, check out my article on
narrow gauge modeling or visit some of the narrow gauge specialty sites listed in the
Narrow Gauges category.
I was surfing on YouTube tonight and thought I'd share a few that I thought were good.
